We approximate and effectively simulate different characteristic patterns of a drum vibration using algebraic surfaces.
Inspired by the cover of the book Gödel, Escher, Bach by Douglas Hofstadter, this is an interactive game to exercise three-dimensional thinking in an interdisciplinary work with English, Spanish, French and Portuguese languages. The game runs on smartphones, tablets and desktop computers.

Die alpinen Gletscher schrumpfen seit über einem Jahrhundert. Sollte die globale Erwärmung weiter voran schreiten, so wird erwartet, dass sich auch diese Entwicklung der Gletscher fortsetzt. Dank mathematischer Modelle kann die zukünftige Entwicklung der Gletscher abgeschätzt werden.

Tsunamis are big oceanic waves that collide violently with the coast. Most often, tsunamis are created by earthquakes that produce a sudden change on the topography of the ocean seabed. This exhibit explains how tsunamis are modeled mathematically, and recreates simulations of historical catastrophes.

Most meshes are built with ad hoc C++ programs and/or using Blender. The scene is usually set up with Blender. Rendering is done with Luxrender for low resolution, and with Blender/Cycles for high resolution versions.
