This interactive workshop offers participants a playful introduction to the mathematical foundations of quantum computing.

The workshop features two specially developed computer games: an adventure game and an arcade puzzle game. Created as part of the “QuantumArcade”/”Quantum Aktiv” project, the games are designed for arcade machines and make key concepts of quantum computing, including quantum gates, superposition, and entanglement, tangible and accessible.

Participants can play the games at arcade machines and individual game stations. By combining hands-on gameplay with discussion and reflection, the workshop provides an engaging perspective on how quantum computers work and what they might make possible in the future.

The workshop is given by Karla Schön and Oliver Schön.

The two games were developed by IMAGINARY in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (MPI MiS), the IWM Tübingen is taking care of the project evaluation. The project is funded and supported by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
