In Anknüpfung an die erfolgreiche öffentliche Inauguration von NIMS-IMAGINARY in Südkorea beim ICM 2014 in Seoul bietet NIMS eine IMAGINARY-Dauerausstellung in den Räumlichkeiten im CAMP (Center for Applications of Mathematical Principles), in der alle Inhalte (Programmmodule, Bilder, Filme und Skulpturen) der ICM-Ausstellung zu sehen sind. Diese Ausstellung machte IMAGINARY bei über 800 Teilnehmenden (bei Studierenden, Unterrichtenden sowie Mathematikerinnen und Mathematikern) von über 30 Organisationen bekannt, aber für viele Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer war es schwierig, sich der IMAGINARY-Community anzuschließen, da keine Webseite auf Koreanisch vorhanden war. Dank der Arbeit des NIMS-IMAGINARY-Teams im CAMP stellen wir nun die gesamte IMAGINARY-Plattform auf Koreanisch zur Verfügung und hoffen, damit einen größeren Teil der mathematikinteressierten koreanischen Öffentlichkeit zu erreichen.
Neben dem Start der Webseite präsentiert NIMS eine IMAGINARY-Ausstellung beim Frühjahrstreffen der KMS (Korean Mathematical Society) vom 24. bis zum 26. April. Das KMS-Frühjahrstreffen ist ein zweijährliches Treffen, auf dem koreanische Mathematikerinnen und Mathematiker ihre Ergebnisse präsentieren und die zukünftige Entwicklung der KMS diskutieren. NIMS hofft darauf, dass diese Ausstellung zusammen mit anderen öffentlichen Veranstaltungen IMAGINARY bei vielen koreanischen Mathematikerinnen und Mathematikern sowie in der Öffentlichkeit bekannt machen wird.
