How can we successfully implement the energy transition and shape a climate-neutral future together? Since 2022, the traveling exhibition “Power2Change: Mission Energiewende” has been dedicated to exploring this crucial question.

The exhibition will be on display at the DB Museum in Nuremberg starting May 29, 2025. Additionally, the “Energiemobil” will travel again across Germany.

Visitors embark on the “Mission: Energy Transition”, gaining insights into the journey toward a climate-neutral future. What will the power grids of the future look like? How can global passenger and freight transportation become climate-neutral? And how can energy efficiency in industry be improved? The exhibition explores these questions and presents solutions for a secure and affordable energy supply. Interactive media stations highlight pathways for industry, business, and transport to reduce emissions. Visitors are encouraged to engage, participate, and join the discussion.

Developed through collaboration between experts in research, museums, and science communication, the exhibition is part of the joint project “Wissenschaftskommunikation Energiewende” (Science Communication Energy Transition).

The touring exhibition is organized by IMAGINARY.

The joint project is coordinated by Fraunhofer UMSICHT. The exhibition was developed by the LWL-Industriemuseum – Westfälisches Landesmuseum für Industriekultur and the Klimahaus® Bremerhaven. Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD) is responsible for the supporting program and project communication. Fraunhofer UMSICHT, along with other partners, contributes the scientific content. DECHEMA e. V. supports the project as an associated partner. Additionally, the Technical University of Ilmenau provides communication science expertise to guide the exhibition’s development and reception. The joint project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
