Students can try out the two Quantum Arcade games during a workshop. This event is part of the DMV Topics Days Felix Klein in Leipzig.

To mark the 100th anniversary of Felix Klein’s death in 2025, the DMV, together with the University of Leipzig and the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, is organizing the “DMV Topic Days Felix Klein”. The event highlights Klein’s impact on geometry, mathematics education, science policy, and presents current research on his work.

As part of the program, IMAGINARY and MPI MiS will host a workshop featuring two arcade games on quantum computing. What lies behind mysterious qubits and quantum entanglement? In this workshop, participants will explore the fascinating mathematics that could enable future quantum computers – in a playful and interactive way.

The workshop offers two specially developed computer games: an adventure game and an arcade puzzler. Both were created for arcade machines within the “Quantum Arcade” project to bring concepts such as quantum lattices, superposition, and entanglement to life. Participants can try out both of the games.
