A panel discussion about the International Day of Mathematics within the Next Einstein Forum Global Gathering 2020.
The NEF conference, organized by the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) will feature this panel discussion on the IDM initiative.
Starting with a foreword on the International Day of Mathematics (March 14) previously slated for the March NEF GG in Nairobi, this panel will shed light on the role of mathematics for a better world. The 2018 Fields medalist, Cauchy Birkar, will speak on ‘’Mathematics and being human’’. The panel will then specialize to malaria, and how mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence help eradicating malaria world-wide.
