Together with the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) South Africa and the AIMS Next Einstein Initiative, IMAGINARY is planning a series of events to boost mathematics communication on the African continent in the near future. We are pleased to announce that we received funding by Cap’Maths to establish an autonomous unit “IMAGINARY France” starting in December 2014. Its purpose is to translate all existing content into French, to have more contributions from French mathematicians and organize exhibitions and events in France. The first meeting to discuss the composition of the team and then plan activities for the coming years, will be held from December 2 to December 4, 2014, in Orsay (French) and Versailles (French).
