The I AM A. I. exhibition will be showcased at BTU Cottbus from December 2, 2024, to March 30, 2025. Exhibits will focus on scientific concepts of AI, AI in art and creativity, and AI and its societal impact.

Organized by the KI@MINT project, the exhibition offers an introduction to the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications. Visitors can gain insights through interactive experiments, videos, and images and explore the mechanisms of AI in a playful way. An extensive supporting program accompanies the exhibition.

Despite the increasing public discussion about AI, it remains abstract for many. The I AM A. I. exhibition provides a better understanding through practical experiments: a robot that navigates through a labyrinth explains the principle of reinforcement learning, the ecological footprint of AI is vividly illustrated, and the exhibition asks:

  • How does a neural network learn?
  • Why can a computer recognize which words I speak?
  • Does artificial intelligence sometimes make mistakes?
  • What is training data?
  • Can you be able to do something without understanding it?

Entrance is free, guided tours for schools and groups are possible.

The traveling exhibition “I AM A. I.” was developed and financed by IMAGINARY and the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung.
