The “Aktionslabor Redaktionelle Gesellschaft” is a mobile and interactive exhibition focused on media and news literacy. It is designed to inform the public, spark curiosity through moments of irritation, and encourage reflection on how we engage with information in a low-threshold, entertaining, and accessible way.

The interactive experience offers easy and enjoyable access to topics surrounding news and information, inviting visitors to experiment, explore, and educate themselves. IMAGINARY developed the interactive game Citizen Quest for this exhibition. In the game, visitors work together to complete tasks in a fictional city, discovering that the challenges of navigating information can be addressed collaboratively and constructively. The game explores topics such as disinformation and civic participation, while also posing broader questions like: Who owns urban space?

The Aktionslabor is part of the Bucerius Lab’s thematic focus “Redaktionelle Gesellschaft” (Editorial Society). It is an initiative of the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS, in collaboration with the Hamburger Bücherhallen, the creative agency lilazwei, the agency PlayersJourney, and IMAGINARY.
